You can open your Website Control Center at http://website.orange.co.uk from anywhere in the world - an Internet café, for example.

3 steps to a professional website

When you launch Orange Website Maker for the first time, you can immediately create a website in three quick steps.

Step 1: Select your layout 

First select your layout from several, professional designs. Each layout already contains matching subpages.



Click on the ticks to remove the page templates that you don't want to use on your website.

Step 2: Customise your pages

In the second step you can customise your website to meet your exact requirements and enhance it with multimedia content like photos, videos, music, text, effects, animations, and much more. To do this, select the page you wish to edit from the Page Manager "Pages" on the left.



Tip: By double-clicking on the page name, you can rename each page.

You can edit text by clicking on the text field, deleting the old text, and entering the new text. Delete objects by selecting them from the object list below and clicking on the red "X" (delete). Every object can be moved by clicking on it and dragging it into position. Use the arrows on the corners of objects to change the size of the object.

Add photos, videos and other objects

To add photos, videos, music, animations and other stuff to your website open the "Objects" panel on the left of the screen. Here you will find a list of possible content types. Open a tree with the mouse and select the content below the tree view.

 

Tip: To upload media files (photos, videos, music) or documents click on the arrow symbol.


Simply drag & drop

To insert content (e.g. a photo) to your website simply click on the photo in the "Objects" panel and drag it holding the left mouse button to the desired position on your website. You can do this with all object types.



Tip: To change the properties of an obejct simply double click on it to open the "Properties" panel.

Step 3: Publish website

Once all of your changes have been made, you can preview your website via the "Preview" button.

Note: Some objects, like, for example, animations, text effects, slideshows, or videos, are not shown on the work space - they only appear in the preview.



One click is all it takes to publish your website. Your website is then online and can be opened anytime, anywhere by typing in the web address: http://sitename.website.orange.co.uk.
