To transfer your pictures automatically
As a Sitebuilder user (not FTP My Site) click on "Migrate now" on the Migration email you received from us. In the web dialogue box enter your existing web address and make sure that "yes" is marked for "Please copy my photos over from Sitebuilder". Please note that this process can take a little bit of time and is only possible if your email address matches the one displayed on your Sitebuilder homepage.
In order to insert the pictures, open the Website Maker editor, select the "Objects" slider on the left, click on "My Media" and then "Pictures". Click on the desired thumbnail and then select "Insert" or move to the webpage via drag and drop. If moved inside photo frames they will automatically replace the existing one.

To transfer your pictures manually
Open your Sitebuilder website in your web browser. Then simply right click on each image and select "Save Picture As" and save it. You then need to select where on your computer to save the pictures.

Remember to save them somewhere easy to find on your computer. In case the file format is not jpg you need to convert them into jpg-format before uploading to the Website Maker. This can easily be done with MAGIX Photo Manager, which is available for free at http://www.magix.com/uk/free-downloads/free-software/photo-manager/. Simply select the images you want to convert than choose "Export" from the context menu (right mouse click).

 

To upload the pictures go to the Website Maker editor, select the "Objects" slider on the left, click on "My Media", then "Pictures" and choose "Upload".

To transfer text
Open your Sitebuilder website in your web browser. Then highlight the text you want to transfer and choose "Copy" from the context menu (right mouse click). Then open another browser window (or tab) containing the Website Maker editor, click in the appropriate text field and choose "Insert" from the context menu (right mouse click). Repeat for all text blocks you want to transfer. To change the font format or assign links to text, etc. open the "Properties" slider on the left side of the Website Maker editor. Additional text fields can be created via the "Objects" slider or via copy and paste of existing text fields.

To retain an existing web address
As a Sitebuilder user (not FTP My Site) click on "Migrate now" on the Migration email you received from us. In the web dialogue box enter your existing web address. Please note that we can only verify you as the owner of the web address if your email address matches the one displayed on your existing homepage created with Sitebuilder.
Your new multimedia website will be published under a different web address which you can change in the Website Maker Control Centre. After Sitebuilder has been shut down we can redirect visitors from your existing web address to your new web address, if for example you have changed your Sitebuilder subdomain from sitename.mysite.orange.co.uk to sitename.website.orange.co.uk. 

But what about content from FTP My Site?
Since you built the published website on your PC, all you need to do is simply upload pictures, videos, music and other files from your PC via the Website Maker editor. Select the "Objects" slider on the left, click on "My Media", then select the desired media type and choose "Upload". Text can be simply transferred from PC to the Website Maker via copy and paste.
