2004 Liverpool 10k run
I was disappointed not to get into the BUPA Manchester run this year. It is now such a huge event and so popularthat it is difficult to get into, places are filled within 6 days! All of this was forgotten once I got here. I'd never been to Liverpool before and Sefton Park is a lovely place. Everyone was there to have fun and enter into the spirit of things, raising money too. As you can see it was a beautiful sunny day. This was sunday 16th May and the race started at 11am. As I ran my fairy wings proved especially popular with the kiddies. That was unexpected but quite sweet, the hat was a different story. My head got hot and sticky and sweat was pouring down my face. Very uncomfortable. I vowed I would never run in the sun with a hat on again! I made a miscalculation on this race which mean't I finished abit later than I would have liked to. I was lead to believe once passed the lake, that was it, but noooo that was NOT it, lol. I was very happy once I had finished it though. Certainly plenty of funny costumes to be seen here. On this occasion I managed to raise US$ 720 for Starfish. A big warm thank you to all my sponsors xxx
