Glenn Tomkinson
n 1997 I retired after over 30 years working in Education. For 13 years I lived in Cumbria where I took up printmaking and exhibited in local Galleries including a one man show at Abbot Hall in Kendal. After moving to Dover, I continued to make prints and since retirement have begun to exhibit again. I had an individual exhibition in the Deal Library Gallery and exhibited with the ?Image? group of printmakers based in Whitstable.I returned to live in Cumbria in 2003 and have exhibited at The Brewery in Kendal, Upfront and the Painted Penguin in Caldbeck. I had an individual show at Greystones Gallery at Glenridding at Easter 2005, had work accepted for the Cumbrian artists Exhibition at Upfront in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. I am a member of the Steering Group for Art in Eden and was the featured artist at the Painted Penguin Gallery in October 2005. In 2006 I had work accepted for the Landmarks III exhibition and "Printfest" in 2008 and exhibited "A Printmaker's Impressions" at the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick followed by another exhibition "Further Impressions" at the Theatre by the Lake in 2007. I shall be taking part in "The Art of Printmaking" from 16th June - 20th July at the Upfront Gallery near Penrith.
