Who do we think we are?

Elderslie Kirk Players
is an amateur dramatic group based in Elderslie Kirk, Main Road, Elderlsie, Renfrewshire. Although we are affiliated to Elderslie Kirk, the shows we produce are secular in form and are usually comedies. We perform two shows a year around May and November. The May show is usually a complete play in two or three acts, whereas the November show tends to comprise three or more shorter one-act plays and/or sketches.
EK Players come in all shapes, sizes and ages. A recent study revealed the average age to be 33 and a third; just like a long playing record. Indeed, a few of the group have been playing long before others were born; in fact, more or less since it started forty years ago, in what was Elderslie West Kirk. A few members only started acting very recently.
We meet in Elderslie Kirk Church Halls every Monday evening (with a break around Christmas and the summer). Usually we are in the wee ?blue? room at the back, off the car park. New members are very welcome. If you want to get involved please get in touch, or just pop along any Monday night We are not a closed shop. Just bring your talent and enthusiasm. You might even get a cup of tea and a cake - if the president or the producer doesn't eat them all first!
