Ian Watson
Musical Director
Ian has been Musical Direcor of the North East Concert Band since 1992. He is a primary school teacher and also a tutor at the South Tyneside Brass Band Scheme. He has many years experience playing with other local Brass Bands, but now concentrates solely on the North East Concert Band.
Favourite Piece - Any piece we manage to start & finish together.
Most Disliked Piece - Anything we have played for more than 3 months
Most Challenging Piece - Staying awake during The Sound of Music or South Pacific.
Favourite Venue - The Wheatsheaf, The Blue Bell, The Cross Keys, etc. etc.
