Introduction.....

Home....

Welcome to the 1st St Mellons (St Mellons Church) Scout Troop. The troop has been in existence for over twenty years and along with a beaver colony and cub pack is part of the 1st St Mellons Scout Group. We are part of the Cardiff East and South district and the wider area of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

We are a small and friendly troop with a wide ranging and fun programme. The troop normally meets every Friday evening between 7 and 9 pm in the St Mellons village hall, which can be found on Newport Road in old St Mellons. To get a better idea of what Scouting is all about please feel free to look at our programme or look at the official UK Scouts website (see our links page). We are always looking for new members, both scouts and adults. To be a Scout you must be between 10 1/2 and 14 years old and up for a challenge. Scouting in the UK is now in its second century and is still developing into a modern, relevant and fun organisation to be involved in.

This year our troops main theme will be global awareness. Many of our activities will be based on this theme, but we will also be making sure we take part in the old favourite activities such as climbing, shooting, camping, hiking and cycling. If you are interested in finding out more about our troop, please fill out the contact form on our contacts page and download a welcome/information pack from the useful form and information page.
