Gutter, Fascia and Conservatory Cleaning.

In addition to a regular window cleaning service, we also offer a number of additional services. These include a gutter clearance service (the insides, of leaves, debris, trash and moss etc) and gutter cleaning (the outsides); as well as cleaning of uPVC external fascia and soffit boards. We also clean conservatory roofing as can be seen in the example picture alongside.

The purpose of gutters on your home is to keep the weather where it belongs - on the outside.

However, poorly maintained gutters will eventually become blocked with leaves, moss, wind-blown trash, germinated seedlings and grass, thus preventing the gutters from doing their job; diverting and channeling away any rain-water.

Blocked gutters eventually deteriorate as they are permanently full; not only with trash but also rain-water, causing damage to the gutter itself, and also to its joints and seals . Eventually it will fall away from the house due to the additional weight from the excess water and trash causing its fixings to fail.

Blocked gutters will also overflow, causing a nuisance below but also the possibility of damp collecting on the outside wall. This damp can seep into the inner wall of the home, causing plaster to lose its adhesion and fall away. Exterior paintwork can become permanently wet and discoloured, rendering may fail because of a freeze-thaw cycle.

During a freeze/thaw cycle water from blocked gutters can get into small cracks or pores in render (as well as brick-work). Here it freezes... expands, thus creating stresses, which leads to more cracks. These cracks allow more water into the concrete and the cracks enlarge. Eventually the concrete spalls and chunks break off causing more damage.
