News June 2008

JUNE 2008It dancing with all the bands and keeping the photographers and the massive crowd happy. "Star" & "Legend" were just two of the words used to describe Pee Tee's contribution to a great day. Before the parade, Pee Tee met fans young & old in Byres Rd and this year he posed for photographs with the other half of Japan's population. A great day!!Then a return visit to Elmvale Primary for an afternoon of fun and laughter. Pee Tee was really pleased to be back although there was a bit too much tail pulling for his liking. The following afternoon was spent at Maryhill Community Gala Day. The weather was, once again, kind and Pee Tee had a great time playing football in a cage and meeting lots of his fans.had been quiet for Pee Tee since the end of season but things got much busier in June.On 4th, Pee Tee attended Bellahouston park at the invitation of Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice who were having a Go Yellow Fun Day for 1500 school kids. As far as Pee Tee was concerned, it was a Go Red 'n' Yellow day and he proved to be a massive hit with everyone there, signing autographs for what seemed like every one of the kids there. He also did a bit of aerobic dancing and took part in a short mascot race with Harry The Hippo, T-Rex, Broxi Bear, Gladigator & Harvey the Hospice Heart . Not a race for short mascots but one over a short distance. Just as well as the heat was unbearable. It didn't matter who won. As usual, Pee Tee caused havoc and managed to pull back Broxi Bear from running past him. All's fair in mascot races. The West End Festival was, for Pee Tee, a big success. He jumped in and out of the parade as usual.
