Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the lifeboat to assist in a search for a man overboard from the Fishing Vessel Sanlormarho II in a position south east of Blyth Harbour. With other vessels the lifeboat made an extensive search of the area, only returning to station after four hours to refuel and change crew. Relaunching the search continued until 22.00, with nothing found, Humber Coastguard called off the search and the lifeboat returned to station.
