Children and a dog cut off by the tide
Humber Coastguard requested the launch of the lifeboat to the Cresswell Scarrs area approximatley 4 miles north of Newbiggin, where there were two children and a dog, cut off by the rising tide. The lifeboat proceeded to the area and were directed to the casualties on the rocks by Newbiggin Coastguards. Once the children and dog were recovered to the lifeboat, they were transported to the beach, and handed over to the safe care of the coastguards, the lifeboat then returned to station
