10 Top Tips for busy Mums before ChristmasHow can you make Christmas and the build up to it less stressful and more enjoyable? We?ve all done it! We put ourselves at the bottom of the list! We don?t seem to be able to help ourselves. How many times have you given yourself permission to go shopping, then realised when you got home that you bought things for all those close to you and nothing for yourself? If this sounds familiar or you know ?a woman who does?, then read on!1. Make a list of all the things that need doing before Christmas. It will assist you in both feeling and actually being organised.2. Make another list of all the things you need to buy.3. Set aside a couple of hours now to start thinking about what can be done or at least organised in advance.4. Share some of the donkeywork. Don?t be afraid to accept help or ask for it.5. Learn to say no!6. Build in time to your planning and preparations for yourself. Neither you, or your friends and family want to see you frazzled on Christmas day. You need time to enjoy a bath, paint your toenails, do or have your hair done and sit and watch a Christmas film with your nearest and dearest with a big bowl of popcorn.7. Talk to your children well in advance, preferably before the toy ads kick in on TV and be clear about what they should expect in terms of presents. Does Santa bring one prezzie each ? Would they prefer one big prezzie from you or several smaller ones?8. What would you like for Christmas? Its helpful to make a note of a few things you?d like, then you?ll be ready with a useful reply if you are asked. If not you can always treat yourself in the sales!9. Set yourself up to succeed! Take a few short cuts and spread out the cost.10. Remember however special you hope it will be on the big day ? it?s one day and possibly one meal!
